Glue Starfish Directions:

  1. Tear off a piece of wax paper and lay it out on a table.
  2. You may want to draw several starfish shapes on the wax paper with a pencil. You can draw some small ones and others that are medium size. It’s fun to have more than one, since you can give them to your friends!
  3. When you’ve drawn all the starfish, squeeze a blob of glue in the center of your drawing. Don’t put too much glue on the first time, remember you can always add more if your starfish isn’t the right size.
  4. With the toothpick, spread the glue into the starfish form.
  5. Sprinkle sand (or glitter) on each starfish and gently blow the excess off each one.
  6. Let your starfish dry overnight, or even longer. Be sure the glue is completely dry before you gently peel them off the wax paper!
  7. You can trade them with your friends, or give them to the special people in your life. In fact, you can always make a special card out of colored construction paper and glue your starfish to it! You can also put a piece of string into the top leg of the starfish while the glue is still wet, and hang it in a window when it’s dry. It will remind you of one of God’s beautiful sea creatures every time you look at it!
