Wanna make a really cool-looking flower magnet for your family’s refrigerator? It’s pretty easy!
What You Need:
- 2 small colored plastic cups (any color)
- green construction paper
- scissors
- glue
- magnet
- a small photograph of you*
*Have your brothers and sisters make one from each of them, too!
What You Do:
- Cut six evenly-spaced slits on one of the cups all the way down to the base.
- Bend your “petals” outward and trim the top edges to make them more rounded (or pointed).
- Cut the second plastic cup down to leave about 1 inch around the base. Cut wavy lines along the top edge (to make it all flowery).
- Trim your photo so that if fills the base of the cup, then glue it in there.
- Glue the first cut-down cup onto the “petals”.
- Cut out green construction paper “leaves” and glue them to the back of the “flower”.
- Glue a magnet (or two) onto the back of it, and when dry, put it on the refrigerator! It’s sure to bring a smile to your parent’s face every time they see you.
