Hey kids, here’s a really easy-to-make windmill made out of construction paper and a pencil! Try different colors, and make some for your friends. And enjoy the wind that God gives us to keep cool!
What you need:
- two different colored sheets of construction paper
- ruler
- scissors
- push pin
- bead
- pencil with an eraser
What you do:
- Fold one corner of the construction paper and draw a line along the edge to make a square. Do this to both pieces of construction paper.
-
Cut out the two squares
-
With your ruler, draw a big X from corner to corner on each sheet.
-
Cut 2/3 of the way on each line towards the center point.
-
Hold the squares together and bend each end back along the cut lines. Hold the points together at the center, slightly overlapping each other.
-
Push your pin through the center, making sure it goes through all the points, holding them together in a fan-blade shape.
-
Slip your bead on the back, and push the pin into the eraser on your pencil.
-
Blow on your windmill, or run with it, and watch it whirl!
-
Make another windmill using different colors and give it to your best friend!
