Wow, did you ever think you could use those rocks you have to pick out of the garden each spring? Here’s a great way to use some of your “rock crop” every year – and they look really good, too!
What you’ll need:
- Smooth rocks – all kinds of shapes and sizes
- Acrylic paints and brushes
- Decorations - glitter, stickers, even googly eyes!
What you do:
- Find some great rocks of various sizes, and wash them off. Put them in the sun to dry.
- Paint your rocks, top and sides, with the acrylic paint. We think matching the colors to the vegetables is a cool idea.
- When the paint is dry, decorate your rocks any way you want. Be creative. If it’s a flower marker, then paint a flower on it. Give the rocks some personality.
- Save one of the rocks for a “Welcome” rock.
- Paint the reference, “Genesis 2:15” on one of your rocks. Look up the text in the Bible – and your rock will remind you of God – the Original Gardener!
- When the paint is dry, place them in your garden.
