What you need:
- Modeling dough (Play-Dough, Crayola Model Magic Dough, etc.)
What you do:
- Roll your dough out in a strand with one end being thick, and the other thin. This will be the snail body.
- Flatten it in the middle, then bend the thick end up to make the neck. Bend it again and flatten it a bit to make the head.
- Roll out another strand in a different color – again with one end thicker than the other. If you have several colors, try rolling several thin strands together to “mix” the colors first. Starting with the thicker end, wind your dough strand up into a spiral “shell,” so that the thin end is on top.
- Add your spiral “shell” to the snail’s back, and make sure it stays placed on top (don’t add too much pressure or you’ll squish the body!)
- Add two thin tentacles and place dots of a different color on top of each of them to make “eyes.”
