Hey kids, can you imagine how high the waves were when Jesus told them to be still? Read Mark 4:35-41 to find out! Then make your own Wave-Maker in a Bottle! It's simple to make, and fun to play with!

  What you need:
  1. Clear plastic 20 oz. soda bottle (a glass bottle is ok, too)
  2. Mineral oil (clear vegetable oil is ok, too)
  3. Water
  4. A few drops of blue food coloring
  5. Glue
  6. Glitter (optional)
  7. Small plastic boat (optional)
  8. Small plastic fish (optional)
  What you do:
  1. Rinse out your bottle well.
  2. Peel or soak the label off (warm soapy water works best)
  3. Fill 2/3 of the bottle with water.
  4. Add a few drops of blue food color to the water and swirl it around until you get the color you desire. You can also add small pinches of glitter, too.
  5. Add your small plastic boat or fish to the water, then fill the rest of the bottle with the oil.
  6. Apply some glue to the threads of the bottle, and screw the cap on tight.
  7. Tilt the bottle slowly from side to side to make your own waves!
