Here’s a great idea for making a print, or a card for someone
special, and it’s not much trouble at all! Just an hour in the noon
sunshine and you’re done!
What you’ll need:
- several pieces of darker colored construction paper (lighter colors
don’t fade well)
- a few things from nature or from home (flatter objects work better)
- bright sunshine
What you do:
- Find a spot on the sidewalk or somewhere safe, and lay your
construction paper out in the direct noon sunlight.
- Arrange the things from nature or from your house onto the paper in
a creative way.
- Leave them alone (don’t move the objects!) and come back about
an hour or two later, and you’ll see that the paper has faded around the
things you put on it.
- (Hint): If you want to make a card, fold the construction paper in
half and put smaller objects on the front. When the paper fades around them,
you can open the card and write a message for someone special!
