Try making your own Jiggly Jolly Jellyfish with a balloon, a clear plastic bag, and some paint. It’s fun and it’s cute!
What you’ll need:
- a balloon (any color will do, but a lighter color probably looks best)
- scissors
- tape
- two buttons
- permanent marker
- clear plastic bag
- paint – the brighter colors are the most fun!
- paint brush
- large rubber band
What you do:
- Blow a few puffs of air into the balloon and tie it off. This is your wiggly wobbly jellyfish head!
- Holding the balloon by the knot, use the permanent marker to draw a cute smiling mouth on your jellyfish.
- Glue on the buttons to make his eyes.
- You can use your paints to brighten up the jellyfish head, too. Be careful to spread out some newspaper before you start painting!
- Cut up your clear plastic bag into long strips, about 6 inches long and 1 ½ inches wide. These will be the “tentacles.”
- Paint pretty colors on each of the strips and let them dry.
- Turn the strips over and paint the other side as well.
- When the paint on the balloon and plastic strips is dry, use the tape to attach the “tentacles” onto the sides of the balloon.
- Cut the rubber band, and tie one end around the knot on the balloon. Tie the other end to a hook outside on the porch, or anywhere you think your Wiggly Wobbly Jellyfish would look nice
