Here’s a little pony that you can make out of pine cones. It’s easy to make, and looks great anywhere!

What you’ll need:
- 2 pine cones – one large and one small (for the body and head)
- Pine twigs with needles (for the neck and tail)
- Pine twigs that are bare (for the legs)
- Scissors (to trim the mane)
- Glue

Instructions:
- Make the body first by gluing four twigs for the “legs” onto the larger pine cone. Be sure to let the “legs” dry before you try to stand your pony on it’s feet.
- Glue a short twig with needles to the end of the smaller pine cone to make a “neck” and a “head.”
- Trim the needles to make the “mane” short and bristly.
- Glue the base of the “neck” and “head” to the larger pine cone “body.”
- Finally, glue a thick clump of needles to the back of the “body” to make a “tail.”
Your Pine Cone Pony looks great on a mantle. You can even make several and give them to your friends! Isn’t it wonderful what you can do with things from nature?
