Here’s a really neat craft that’s not just easy to make but loads of fun! You can make the most beautiful poinsettias around, and they’re great to give as a holiday gift to someone you love!
Here’s what you need:
  • paper plate
  • several sheets of red, green and white construction paper (Or any colors you want)
  • a pencil or pen
  • scissors
  • glue
Here’s what you do:
  1. Trace your hand at least 10 times on the red sheets of construction paper
  2. Trace your hand at least 10 times on the green sheets of construction paper
  3. Draw a small circle about the size of a quarter on the white sheet of construction paper
  4.  Cut out all the handprints, and cut out the small white circle
  5. Glue a circle of green handprints around the outside edge of your paper plate (fingers pointing out). These are your poinsettia “leaves.”
  6. Glue a circle of red handprints around the inside of your paper plate (fingers pointing out). Make sure the fingers land just inside the green ones. These are your poinsettia “petals.”
  7. Glue the white circle in the middle of your flower.
(Optional: You can make your leaves, petals, and flower center any color you want! Try yellow or even white poinsettias! They’re all beautiful!)
  1. When the glue dries, write a special love message on the back of your paper plate and give it to someone you love. It will be so much fun to see their expression!
